My latest painting

Latest? I've only ever done about 6 paintings in my life. I'm now in my Roy Lichtenstein period. This was done for our art group at church. The theme was 'we (the church) are the body of Christ'.
Being more cartoony (hey Katherine?), I didn't follow the traditional route,

Adam and Eve

During Richard's message yesterday, he inspired me to
quickly sketch this cartoon while he was talking about Adam and Eve and fig leaves. My other version has Eve holding one last fig leaf, and saying, 'Sorry Addy, the caterpillar got the last leaf!' and 90% of it has been eaten away!

Kelvin was Kung Fu fighting

A few weeks ago Kelvin was harassed by some' hindian fellows' at the Suncoast Casino before the club ride. He took the law into his own mitted hands and nearly made curried mince meat out of them. I re-phrased this song ( see below) to highlight his kung fu antics. (see cartoon below after posts)

Kelvin was Kung Fu fighting, the song

Chorus

Kelvin was kung-fu fighting
Mr Price was fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

They were funky samoosa men from funky Phoenixtown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient cycling art and everybody knew their shimano part
>From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Chorus

There was funky Kel and little Stuey Roos
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a shoe and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me slip now we're into a brand knew trip

Chorus

Mario wears crash helmet to work

After posting the story about Mario and his helmet, I thought I needed to do a cartoon,
to put it in 'perspective', so to speak!

Framing for Stefan & Helmine

I framed these watercolours using 3 mounts which Stefan & Helmine bought on the Crafty Day. I also framed Stefan's excellent shot of an ele. A double black mount seemed to work well for the ele.

Mario

I recently found out riding with Mario (from our cycling club) on Saturday that he wears his cycling helmet to work (at his desk)!
After doing some heavy laps of the circuits on Wednesday mornings, he's so tired by 9:00am he falls asleep in front of his computer and has a re-laps. At least he won't harm himself, especially if he lands on software. Of course it's also a safety precaution in case his computer crashes!
